Zvartnots Temple

Zvartnots Temple, is located on the outskirts of Vagharshapat, and was built in the seventh century.

Among the few round-plan temples, this is the most noticeable, the most unusual.

Zvartnots Temple is a big complex of structures: a palace complex, a winery, a bathhouse, and many structures of economic importance on the territory of the monument.

There is also a museum where valuable exhibits discovered during excavations at the site are exhibited.

In the courtyard of the Zvartnots temple there is also the famous cuneiform inscription of King Urartu Rusa the 2nd that he planted gardens and built a canal.
