Vagharshapat national museum is one of best in Armenia.
It has been opened in1964.
Here is presented Vagharshapat city and near settlements how to conduct archaelogical excavations as shown in the process and during the application of the preserved and transferred artifacts to the museum.
The museum presents the dwellings of an ancient man and an Armenian consecrated house headdress (which has been preserved for several thousand years and has come down to us) examples.
In the museum exhibitions we shall meet with ritual ceramics and jewelry, household items and even furniture.
Mgher Abeghyan gallery was founded in1990.
An outstanding Armenian artist from the National Assembly of the People’s Republic of Armenia is represented by the painting of the Armenian painter Mgher Abeghyan.
The painter was born in Vagharshapat.The paintings that are exhibited in the gallery are only a part of the works of painter.
We can see in his works the whole palette of the Armenian Highlands and strictly Armenian motifs from an artistic point of view.
Abeghyan is the greatest artist of Armenian fine arts in which you will be sureby communicating with his canvases.
Holy Gayane church was built in 7th century.
This is one of the best examples of the construction of an Armenian church at that time.
There is a cemetery in the courtyard of the church, where the bodies of famous Armenian people are buried.
Since 2000 it has been included in UNESCO World Heritage list.
The Etchmiadzin Cathedral is the main spiritual center of the Armenian people.
It was built shortly after the adoption of Christianity in the fourth century.
Today it is a whole church complex, which includes a guest house, a hospital, a Matenadaran, a printing house, a bakery, numerous khachkars and other buildings.
The cathedral also has two museums.
Zvartnots stands out for its circular layout in the building of the Armenian Church.
Zvartnots was built in the seventh century and destroyed three century lster as a result of earthquakes.
Even the ruins of Zvartnots testify to its powerful architecture.
In the courtyard of Zvartnots there is also a cuneiform inscription of Rusia Urartu the 2nd that Ildaruni conducted a canal from the Hrazdan River.
