The village Tsovinar is located on the shore of Lake Sevan, it is located at an altitude of about 2000 meters above sea level.
Tsovinar has been inhabited since immemorial time, traces of human activity have been found here as early as the second millennium BC.
Tsovinar is rich in historical and cultural monuments, including Odzaberd fortress of Urartian/Ararat kingdom, cave dwellings, mausoleums and other valuable heritage.
Special attention should be paid to the numerous oaths of the Hazarashen preserved in the village, which are from 70 to 200 years old.
