Aragats is the highest mountain peak in Armenia at an altitude of 4,090 meters above sea level.

Aragats has four peaks, spread out in front of Mount Ararat.

It was born and fed from a volcano, so it is rich not only in minerals, but also in the animal and plant world.

COld and fresh rivers originate from Aragats, and there are dozens of cold ponds on the surface of the mountain slopes.

The largest is Lake Kari (kar / քար - stone), located at an altitude of 3,200 meters above sea level.

There are also waterfalls on the slopes of Aragats, of which the Gegharot Waterfall is known at an altitude of 3000 meters above sea level.

Since ancient times, a man lived on the slopes of Aragats, who created and improved the living environment.

Numerous rock carvings testify to its earliest times, and numerous fortresses and forts are already preserved evidence of early civilization. To this day, numerous settlements of Armenia are scattered on the slopes of Aragats.
