Darabavor caves

Not far from Yerevan, in the Kasakh gorge, right on the territory of the city of Ashtarak, there is a group of caves called Darabavor.

Since ancient times, man has lived here and sheltered from the elements of nature, and since the early Middle Ages - during enemy attacks.

Currently, it is also possible to visit three-storey dwellings in caves.

But you can't go inside because of the risk of collapse.

Caves are a whole internal system of living spaces where each floor served a specific purpose: a religious ritual, storerooms, warehouses, a living area and much more.

During the research conducted in the caves, workers, household and military tools were found.
