Dzitoghtsonts Museum

Gyumri Museum of Urban Life and National Architecture also has a popular name Dzitokhtsonts - the Dzitogyans.

The house belonging to Dzitohyan family, which at that time was one of the richest merchants in Gyumri, now serves as a museum.

This is one of the most interesting museums not only in Gyumri, but also in the whole Republic of Armenia with its diverse collection.

There are two main buildings in the museum. The residential part of a wealthy family serves as an exhibition hall for household items, family furniture and personal belongings, and the floor intended for servants of the same family works as an exhibition hall for folk arts and crafts.

Before to see Gyumri, you should visit this museum to imagine  better everything that you will encounter during a city tour.
